Electroplating

Electroplating is the process of plating one metal on the another by hydrolysis, most commonly for decorative purposes or to prevent corrosion of a metal. There are also specific types of electroplating such as copper plating, silver plating, and chromium plating.

Electroplating is used not only for decorative purposes. It is very useful variant for transformation plastic part to metal part. If printed a plastic part on the 3D printer and electroplatined it you can get sturdy metal part. Electroplating is a cool varian when you need sturdy but difficult part for your project.
